Closing loops, before it was fashionable...
Justan Foster is a dedicated public servant, technology, and privacy expert who has spent his career improving accountability and developing technical solutions that deliver results.
A native of New York State, Justan has lived in Troy and Schodack Landing, and currently resides in North Greenbush with his wife, Rev. Paige Convis, and several alarmingly photogenic furry companions.
His experience growing up in both rural and urban communities provides an uncommon ability to speak to both sides of an issue, find common ground, and deliver solutions instead of excuses.
Justan is the son of a working-class family that has served this country for generations as members of the military and unionized labor. Justan is the first member of his family to attend college and graduate school.
He holds degrees from Columbia-Greene Community College, the University at Albany, and recently completed his Master's in Legal Studies at Albany Law School with dual concentrations in Cybersecurity & Data Privacy and Financial Compliance & Risk Management.
Justan currently serves as an analyst for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and Music Director for several area churches. He is committed to conversations that result in sustainable innovation, which he brings to the many organizations he volunteers with.
Justan looks forward to the opportunity to serve the residents of Rensselaer County in the years to come.
